International Tournaments

One of our long term successes has been to develop links with clubs in Europe and relationships formed in the early 1970’s with clubs from Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium still exist today. These links consist of an under 15’s boys tournament taking place each year in one of the countries and additional visits taking place between the countries for young adult and veteran teams. In 2015 in the UK, girls took part for the first time and all the clubs are actively promoting this for future years. These trips to Europe are normally arranged so that players stay with host families which gives them a real insight into how other cultures live their daily lives and friendships made on these trips in the past still exist years later.

2018 EASTER INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT / 90 th CLUB ANNIVERSARY
To all our Hutton Football Club Team Managers, Players and Parents please be
advised that this Easter we will again have the privilege of being the host club for
this competition which has now run for 49 years this being the 43rd year for our
Club. We first took part back in 1975 and have competed each year ever since.
This year the tournament coincides with the club’s 90 th Anniversary having been
formed back in 1928 when with no changing rooms or clubhouse the players got
changed under the oak trees at the Polo Fields which is hard to imagine now when
we consider the great facilities the club is fortunate to have at their disposal at
this present time.
The Tournament together with the Anniversary celebrations will take place at
Shenfield School with games being played on the Astro pitch facility on both
Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
The event will commence with an opening ceremony on Easter Sunday morning,
April 1 st at 10am followed by a series of 11 v 11 matches with our Hutton U14 Red
and U14 White competing against German side DJK St Ingbert, Luxembourg’s US
Rumelange plus 2 teams from the Belgium club K Zandhoven SK. The matches will
continue on Easter Monday ending with all teams playing for trophies in final play
off matches.
We have a number of local dignitaries attending over the weekend these include
the Brentwood Mayor, Chief Exec of Essex County FA, club sponsors and past club
officers, managers and players.
There will be a beer tent or similar with hot food available from the pavilion
kitchen on both days so please come along and support this club event.
